Los Angeles FC remained undefeated this season, winning its fourth consecutive game after a convincing 2-0 victory against FC Cincinnati Saturday at Banc of California Stadium.

Goals by Mark-Anthony Kaye in the first half and red-hot Carlos Vela in the second was all LAFC needed to remain atop the Western Conference standings.

LAFC and the Seattle Sounders are the only two undefeated teams in MLS this season. LAFC have earned 19 out of a possible 21 points to start the 2019 campaign.

LAFC continued its impressive play Saturday against the expansion Cincinnati team, controlling procession throughout, and earning more quality attempts on goal.

Kaye opened the scoring in the 32nd minute by heading the ball into the Cincinnati net following a Vela corner kick.

Vela scored his goal in stoppage time after dribbling past Cincinnati defenders into the box and smoothly sliding the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal, just outside the outreached hands of the goalkeeper.

LAFC will look to continue its hot start Wednesday when the team travels to the Vancouver Whitecaps, which are winless in the team’s last five games.
