Klinsmann confident ahead of Argentina

Team USA Coach Jurgen Klinsmann said there’s no reason why his saide can’t match up with and even beat the No. 1 team in the world on Tuesday.

USA will play against Argentina in Houston for the right to go the the Copa America final. USA defeated Ecuador 2-1, while Argentina dismantled Venezuela 4-1 over the weekend.

Klinsmann said in a news conference according to ESPN, “There’s no reason at all why we can’t win Copa America. We travelled the world the last few years to very difficult friendly games all over Europe and in Mexico and we came away with wins.”

USA has never won a major international tournament other than the Gold Cup, while Argentina hasn’t lifted an international trophy since 1993.

Klinsmann’s team will be missing midfielder Jermaine Jones and forward Bobby Wood for accumulation of red and yellow cards in the previous game.

The winner of Tuesday’s game plays the winner of Colombia vs. Chile, which play Wednesday.
