FERMIN LEAL, FUTBOL DAILY

Colombia escaped a late charge from Paraguay to win 2-1 Tuesday at the Rose Bowl.

Carlos Bacca and James Rodriguez netted Colombia’s goals while Victor Ayala added a goal for Paraguay.

With the win, Colombia sits a lone atop of Group A with 6 points.

In the day’s first math, Team USA demolished Costa Rica 4-0 at Soldier Field in Chicago. Team USA now sits in second with 3 points. Paraguay and Costa Rica are tied at 1 point each.
